Pseudo La Vie

It’s 5:17 am and I just closed one of the most heart breaking novel I ever read. I found myself crying on some parts because the story truly was moving me. Nicholas Sparks proved his reputation right for having the best tragic love story ever, and I can’t quite picture how he can come up with stories like this. Stories that can open your eyes, stories that can help you realize how life truly is. He can make you hope for the best and at the same time lay all the clues out – making the readers want even more.
The story revolves around John and Savannah, who met at the beach. They eventually had a long distance relationship that lasted for years, but like how the cliche goes for those kind of couples – it usually doesn’t work out. Or does it? In a different kind of way.
What I love about this novel is that it just doesn’t revolve around the superficial boy-girl relationship, but it proves to me as well that there are other types of relationships.. And even though sometimes we tend to forget about this people, they are much more important. Family. Yes, they are always there – and forever will they be a part of us.
Amazing. With that I would give Dear John a rate of 8 out of 10 stars!

Secret Circle: Spell for an unfaithful lover

Secret Circle: Spell for an unfaithful lover

I’ve had this book for like a year ago. I was back reading some of my post and realized that I wasn’t able to continue reading this novel due to my busy schedule. But recently, I was able to stumble in a blog that made a review about this book – then I just remembered that I’ve had this book inside my bookshelve, waiting patiently for me to open the pages once again.
And so I did.
I am in love with science fiction and that’s why I am in love with this novel as well. I was able to read stuffs about vampires, about angels and as well as about mutants but this is the first time I was able to read something about witches. This novel really is interesting because witches cast spells using poems. That made me wonder if I can cast spells with the poems I make – Kidding. Anyway, this novel revolve around a girl named Cassie. She was just a have witch, because her Mom married an outsider and her mom kept her from knowing about the circle. But due to her destiny she was drawn back to New Salem, where the witches lives. At first they outcasted her, but after some time, they realized they need her – to complete the circle.
It is really a good book, and I can’t wait to get my hands on the second book.
My overall ranking with this novel would be.. 7 out of 10 stars.
